Karl Lagerfeld will collaborate with Shu Uemura on a one-off make-up collection, which will go on sale in November 2012.

The designer, who last Christmas collaborated on a make-up line with Sephora, has used Shu Uemura products for years - albeit for hand-colouring his illustrations rather than for their intended purpose: “Other manufacturers do not offer such beautiful colours”, he said. 

Karl Lagerfeld president Pier Paolo Righi asserts that the collection, named Karl Lagerfeld for Shu Uemura, will reflect the designer’s “iconic, ironic style”.
